Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide freedom of choice between previews of masked frames and those of unmasked frames. SOLUTION: In this video server system, there are a means for storing a number of material data including video data, a means for previewing an arbitrary material data stored in the data storing means, and a means for masking data frames except those to be sent upon previewing. As the user interface, it also has a control terminal which is provided with not only a first control (923f) to command the preview performance, but also a second control (923j) to selectively enable or disable the masking performance by the masking means.
