Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide information collection/providing system and method and a server device, which collect information showing the use situation of a device used by a customer via a network and separately present a proposal, based on the collected use situation to each customer via the network. SOLUTION: A transmitter 400 transmits the information, showing the use situation of a copying machine 300 to a center 100 via a public line network 2. The customer accesses the center 100 via the Internet 3 by using a terminal 500. The center 100 specifies the customer from identification information inputted from the terminal 500, analyzes the usage situation information of the copying machine 300 corresponding to a specified customer and prepares proposal information corresponding to the use situation. The prepared proposal information is transmitted to the terminal 500 of the customer via the Internet 3.
