PHOTORECEPTOR DRUM, METHOD FOR ASSEMBLING THE SAME, AND IMAGE FORMING DEVICE USING THE DRUM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly and accurately attach flange members to a drum body, while maintaining aligned phases of rotation irregularities of gears at both ends of a photoreceptor drum. SOLUTION: Each of the flange members 16 and 18 is mounted on a head 46 of a mount 38. An end of a cylinder 78 is inserted in the leading end of a cylindrical portion 20 of each of the flange members 16 and 18, so that a projection piece 26 is situated on the outside of the cylinder 78. Compressed air is supplied to a space S which is closed substantially hermetically by the cylinder 78, the flange members 16 and 18, and an inserted shaft 56. The end face of the gear part 24 is pressed to a front-end face of the head 46 by the air pressure, so that each of the flange members 16 and 18 is brought into a state of integrally rotating with the head 46. When each of the flange members 16 and 18 is rotated integrally with the head 46 while a sensor 80 is being operated, the position of the projection piece 26 is detected in which rotation angle of the head 46. Based upon the detection result, the phases of the gear parts 24 of the flange members 16 and 18 are aligned.
