SOLUTION: The heavy-duty pneumatic radial tire provided with a belt part and a tread part and furthermore provided with a crown protection layer with waveform twist cords arranged between the belt part and the tread part is characterized in that the waveform twist cords consist of polyparaphenylene benzobisoxazole fiber or polyparaphenylene benzobisthiozole fiber and the tensile strength is 17 g/decitex or higher.
