Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of a flaw in an oil hole of a shank, improve machining accuracy of an oil hole of a tip, dispense with an electrode for forming the oil hole of the tip, and eliminate the necessity of manufacturing a diametrally different electrode according to the oil hole of the tip. SOLUTION: This tip oil hole forming method is composed of a tip brazing process of brazing a tip subassembly 16 (the tip) to an end part of the shank 11 preopening the oil holes 13 and 14, a start hole machining process of boring a start hole 45 having a diameter smaller than the oil hole of the shank 11 in the tip by an electrode by setting the shank attached with this tip in an electric discharge machine 50 and an oil hole machining process of inserting a wire 55 into the start hole 45 and the oil hole 13 and forming an oil hole 61 having the same diameter as the oil hole of the shank in the tip by setting the shank in the wire electric discharge machine 50.
