Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a material for a single edge round cutting edge without necessitating a conventional complicated work and with little strain wherein the material for the single edge round cutting edge is made by being integrally formed by brazing a blade member of a high rigidity material formed of cemented carbide and the base metal having a linear expansion factor higher than that of the blade member and constituting members thereof are only two of the disc like base metal and the ring like blade member. SOLUTION: The base metal 1 that a flange 5 is formed by forming an annular step part 4 on the outer peripheral side of one side of the disc like base metal 1 and the ring like blade member 2 fitted in the annular step part 4 made of a high rigidity material are integrally formed by brazing to manufacture the material for the single edge round cutting edge. In this case, a bottom 6 of the annular step part 4 formed at the base metal 1 is formed in the shape of a taper having a given angle at which depth is gradually increased toward the center of the base metal 1. The ring like blade member 2 is formed in the shape of a disc having the same angle like bottom 6 of the annular step part 4 of the blade base 1, and the two members are brazed together.
