Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism and a method for removing dust, capable of maintaining a stable contact state between a film and an adhesive roll, simultaneously removing dust on both surfaces without any restrictions on installing places, and carrying out periodic cleaning, and a device and a method for manufacturing a magnetic recording medium provided with this dust removing mechanism. SOLUTION: In order to remove articles stuck on the surface of a film 11, dust removing mechanisms 13A, 13B, and 13C are constructed to bring an adhesive roll 14 into contact with a guide roll for traveling the film 11 from its opposite side, and dust removal is carried out. Also, a device for manufacturing a magnetic recording medium having a magnetic layer formed on the film 11 of a non-magnetic support is provided with these dust removing mechanisms 13A, 13B and 13C. The step of removing dust by the adhesive roll 14 is included in the magnetic recording medium manufacturing process.
