SOLUTION: This demolition method for the chimney 1 having an outer tube 3 extending in the vertical direction from a foundation 2 to the apex and a refractory brick wall 4 extending in the peripheral direction apart from the radial inside along the outer tube 3 to form a space between it and the outer tube 3 and forming a draft 6 with the inside face includes at least a process for rupturing a flue 10. The rupturing process is performed while sucking the inside of the flue 10 from an opening 5 at the lower section of the flue 10 by actuating a dust collector 8 fitted with a filter.
