Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the directivity of an ultrasonic beam in an ultrasonic transducer, having a horn where a step-like recess, is formed. SOLUTION: A cylindrical vibrator 3 is composed of a plurality of laminated cylindrical vibrators 3a-3d, and each cylindrical vibrator is arranged at a position that opposes each reflection surface 5, that is formed on the inner surface of a recess 2 of the horn 1. The cylindrical vibrators 3a-3d with different polarization directions are laminated alternately, and an ultrasonic wave where a phase is inverted is generated from an adjacent cylindrical vibrator. As a result, a distance d' of a flat surface 7, that is formed at the recess 2, can be set to half the wavelength λ/2 of the ultrasonic wave, which becomes half that in the conventional cases. Accordingly, the focusing density of ultrasonic beams bundles 6a-6d increases and directivity is improved. |
