Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waste melting furnace in which efficiency is improved in removing dust from the gas rising in a waste melting furnace. SOLUTION: Waste is charged from the top of the furnace. Air or oxygen- enriched air is blown from a tuyere 3 provided in the lower part of the furnace to subject the waste to reduction-combustion, and gasified, and the combustion residue is melt-treated. A hollow-forming means is provided, which hinders charged waste from invading in the part of the internal wall over the whole periphery to form a hollow part 6 having no waste. The generated gas rising along the furnace wall is allowed to pass the hollow part 6, and then it is allowed to pass again the waste layer, and discharged to the outside of the furnace.
