Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a soy protein component for safely and efficiently lowering the blood cholesterol level and useful as pharmaceuticals, foods or drinks for the prevention and treatment of the increase in blood cholesterol level. SOLUTION: This blood cholesterol lowering composition contains a low phytic acid soy protein composed mainly of 11S globulin as an active component. The content of the 11S protein is >=70% and that of phytin is =60% based on the total protein in the bean by treating the soy protein with a phytic acid decomposing enzyme without adding a reducing agent in the production process.
