Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-washing method for a window glass which does not get wet with rain due to the reverse gradient. SOLUTION: On the window glass 1, an ultra-hydrophilic surface treatment wherein a contact angle becomes less than 10 deg. is applied. Then, a sealing material on the outdoor side for a sash attaching section of the window glass 1 is constituted of an irregular sealing material wherein water-repellent components do not elute, or of a regular gasket 3 without the elution of water- repellent components. In addition, at both ends of a sash lower frame 2a, a drip 5, which has water returning mechanisms 5a and 5b such as a rising dam, and projects from an external wall by a specified amount, is provided. In addition, a rain water storage tank 9 is provided on a roof 8. Then, a water jetting nozzle 10 is led through from the tank 9, and the water jetting nozzle 10 is directed to the upper end of the window glass. Also, the water jetting nozzle 10 is programmed in such a manner that water is jetted at every specified period.
