TRANSMISSION POWER CONTROLLER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission power controller which will not fall into the vicious circle that SIR is not improved regardless of the increase of transmission power by the decline in the SIR. SOLUTION: This transmission power controller is provided with a reception part 1 for receiving transmission signals from a mobile station existing inside the present radio area; a channel-decoding part 2 for decoding received signals, a signal to interference wave power ratio observation part 3 for calculating the signal to interference wave power ratio of the reception signals; a target frame error rate computation part 6 for deciding the propriety for each channel and calculating a target frame error rate; and a target signal to interference power ratio computation part 5 for calculating a target signal to interference power ratio, by comparing the frame error rate and the target frame error rate and a transmission power control bit generating part 4 for generating the transmission power control bit of the corresponding mobile station, by comparing the signal to interference wave power ratio and the target signal to interference power ratio.
