Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the workability in confirming the mounting of a holding member, by easily confirming whether the holding member for holding an oil seal on a predetermined position is mounted or not from the external of a cover in a machine having the oil seal with the cover completely covering the oil seal. SOLUTION: In an internal combustion engine as the machine having the oil seal 43 mounted between a through hole 42 through which a balancer shaft 22 is penetrated and a peripheral wall 42a of the through hole 42, and completely covered by the cover 40, a holding plate 50 covering at least a part of the oil seal 43 is fixed by a bolt A1 inside of the cover 40, and the oil seal 43 is held on a predetermined axial position in the through hole 42 by the holding plate 50. The holding plate 50 is provided with an expanded part 52a expanded to the external of the cover 40 to confirm the mounting of the holding plate 50 from the external of the cover 40.
