HAND-OVER PROCESSING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To conduct hand-over processing flexibly corresponding to the state of radio waves so as to keep pleasant speech quality and avoid useless base station retrieval thereby reducing the power consumption. SOLUTION: A terminal measures a reception level of a base station with which the terminal makes a speech at present for a prescribed cycle. When a reception level fluctuation value R(n)-R(n-1) being the difference between a current reception level R(n) and a reception level R(n-1) measured precedingly is greater than a predetermined threshold A1 (step 102), the terminal starts the hand-over processing to start a base station retrieval processing being a processing to retrieve a base station being a hand-over destination (step 103). In the base station retrieval processing, the hand-over selection level is set to the reception level R(n)+NS. When the base station being the hand- over destination is decided, the hand-over processing is conducted (step 104).
