Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem posed by a reduction in discharge efficiency of one fuel pump under high temperature in a fuel supply system having two series-connected fuel pumps and a fuel valve for direct injection into a combustion chamber. SOLUTION: A shutoff valve 30 is closed under high temperature. A scavenging line 60 leads fuel to a fuel tank 2 under high temperature. The constitution discharges much heat energy from a fuel pump 12, and causes increased supply pressure to prevent bubble formation.
