Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device and control method to reduce the cost of application. SOLUTION: The quantity of increase is superimposed on the quantity of adjustment, and characteristics of a filter means are detected based on the response of the measured quantity obtained therefrom. The characteristics of the filter means is detected in the operating state. The filter means is structured as a band-pass filter whose amplification factor can be adjusted. The characteristics of the filter means are controlled according to the amplification factor of the band-pass filter. In the filter means, the actual value and/or a target value is detected based on the evaluation of a prescribed segment of rotational frequency. The quantity of increase is the periodical parameter, and the frequency is equivalent to the crankshaft frequency and the camshaft frequency. The amplification factor and the phase shift in the control area are detected based on the quantity of increase and the amplitude of the rotational frequency generated from the increase, and the characteristics of the filer are detected based on the detected amplification factor and phase shift in the control area.
