PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for managing the maintenance information and assessment information of automobiles by which maintenance guidance, an appropriate assessed price and the various kinds of profitable information can be reported to customers as needed by utilizing the Internet. SOLUTION: This method is provided with a means for transmitting the maintenance information and the assessment information obtained by inspecting the automobile which enters a maintenance station together with number plate information through the Internet to a database server for unitarily managing the data so as to newly register or update them, a means for managing maintenance guidance such as the execution guidance of an automobile inspection and a legal inspection and the exchange guidance of oil and wheels, etc., on the basis of the maintenance information and automatically transmitting mail to the portable telephone or the like of the customer and a means for transmitting the assessment information to the database server of an automobile auction company, evaluating the appropriate assessed price and transmitting the mail to the portable telephone or the like of the customer corresponding to a request.
