METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR EMBEDDING ELECTRONIC WATERMARK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for embedding a watermark to be embedded in a dynamic image, without making the electronic watermark signal conspicuous. SOLUTION: The method for embedding the electronic watermark comprises the step of measuring a dynamic vector via a step of predicting the motion of the dynamic image to be an object. The method also comprises the steps of dividing the detected motion vectors into threshold or larger and smaller than the threshold with a certain fixed value (threshold) of the motion vector as a reference, and dividing each one (frame) of the dynamic image into a violent movement parts A (thresholds or larger) and not a violent movement part B (smaller than the threshold). The method also comprises the steps of selecting a shape, corresponding to the superposition of the electronic watermark signals from the part A, and superposing the watermark signal at its position.
