PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily specify a target homepage among many homepages corresponding to or related to an input character string by a simple clue and also to always acquire the latest URL of the homepage. SOLUTION: A terminal device connected to a server through a network is provided with a character string inputting part 301 for inputting a character string, a transmitting and receiving part 307 for transmitting the input character string to the server and also receiving the written character strings (concretely, a homepage name, an operation subject name, etc.), of the homepage corresponding to or related to the read of the character string and the URL of the homepage from server, a conversion candidate displaying part 303 for displaying received written character strings in a list, a conversion candidate selecting/ ascertaining part 304 for selecting any display character string in the list, and a homepage displaying part 306 for displaying the homepage specified by the URL of the selected candidate.
