PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information sharing system capable of flexibly utilizing and controlling digital contents, an information sharing method and a recording medium on which the method is recorded. SOLUTION: This system comprises an information providing terminal 10 for generating utilization hierarchical range information utilized for information control from identifiers (a user identifier, a terminal identifier, a storage medium identifier, IP address information, etc.), whose utilization environment has a hierarchical structure and sending the identifiers, the utilization hierarchical range information and contents to be provided, an information transforming/ storing terminal 20 for acquiring the identifiers, the utilization hierarchical range information and the contents from the information providing terminal, transforming the contents to generate transformed contents by utilizing the identifiers on the basis of the utilization hierarchical range information and storing the transformed contents, and an information utilizing terminal 30 for releasing the transformation of the transformed contents and utilizing the contents.
