Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an economical power unit that enhances power consumption efficiency by reducing power loss and also reducing the cost required for a backup generator. SOLUTION: A DC generator 7 that consecutively outputs DC power to an inverter 3 is connected to a DC portion between a converter 2 and the inverter 3 through a DC-DC converter 6. The DC-DC converter 6 is configured so as to control the output from the DC generator 7 to become steady by current- controlling the output. On the other hand, the converter 2 is configured so as to control, by voltage-controlling the output, a conversion amount 11 from AC power to DC power or a conversion amount 12 from DC power to AC power so that a value 10 of a DC voltage measured by a voltmeter 8 always remains at a constant value V1.
