SOLUTION: The device for selecting battery electrode sheets is composed of a first transport belt 1 to carry each electrode sheet 2a cut into specified dimensions and transport in the specified direction, a second transport belt 3 running at the same speed as the running speed of the first belt 1, arranged in extension in such a way that their transporting surfaces confront partially in the running direction, and admitting transfer of and carrying the electrode sheets 2a and transporting in the specified direction one after another, an encoder 8 to sense the moving amounts of the first 1 and second transport belts 2, selective actuators 10a and 10b sorting the electrode sheets 2a transferred on and carried by the second transport belt 3 by properties in response to the output of the encoder 8 and separating from the second transport belt 3, and sensors 11a and 11b to sense the separating timing of the applicable electrode sheet 2a generated by the actuators 10a and 10b.
