PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-contact switch which can surely execute a contacting operation in a prescribed direction and is easy to use, even if it is miniaturized. SOLUTION: A contact which object of operation is recognized from contacts 1a, 1b, 2a, 2b, 3a, 3b, 4a and 4b, sloping directions D1, D2, D3, D4, D5, D6, D7 and D8 for a keytop to operate the contacts 1a, 1b, 2a, 2b, 3a, 3b, 4a and 4b are specified, based on an operation signal of pairing contacts 1a and 1b, 2a and 2b, 3a and 3b, and 4a and 4b or other pairing contacts 1b and 2a, 2b and 3a, 3b and 4a, and 4b and 1a, and the contact which is the object of the operation by the key-top 10 is specified from among 1a, 1b, 2a, 2b, 3a, 3b, 4a and 4b and recognized.
