Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the efficiency of manufacturing a slider block for a magnetic head. SOLUTION: The joining operation of plural magnetic cores is simultaneously carried out by joining a bar core 14 to a slider block assembly 16, and thus the man hour of the joining operation is reduced, and attaching accuracy is stabilized, a pseudo track part GD is formed on the side of a bar core 14 opposite to the surface of attaching a recording/reproducing track RW to the slider block assembly 16. From a side face 14a, an apex part A exposed on the side face of the pseudo track part GD is observed, and a cutting margin 17 is decided by using the apex part A as a reference. Then, a standard recording density magnetic core having a specified gap depth dimension D and a specified back gap B is cut out.
