Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an identifying device for circular object, which performs proper identification on a practical level, even for a recognition object like a used coin, the data acquired from which contain noise. SOLUTION: A center O of an image 1p provided from the identification object such as coin is found, data existing in a distance (c) between centers of the H level parts of data Ad and Bd or the like obtained by applying data processing, based on thresholds A and B to raw data on the circumference with the O as a center, are compared with the master data of the same kind previously acquired from a true coin or the like which are to become reference, and the recognition or the like of the true/false of coin is performed.
