CYLINDER HEAD FOR MULTICYLINDER ENGINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylinder head for a multicylinder engine, having improved rigidity and cooling efficiency. SOLUTION: In this cylinder head for the multicylinder engine, an exhaust collection part 21 collecting exhaust ports 17 extended from plural combustion chambers 12 which are disposed on a cylinder bank side by side is laterally bulged out, a water jacket 31 is formed above and below the bulged part of the exhaust collection part 21, and a connection part of a side wall 33 of the exhaust collection part 21 and a side wall 32 of the water jacket 31 is formed with a recess 34. A connection wall 40 connecting the side wall 33 of the exhaust collection part 21 and the side wall 32 of the water jacket 31 is formed in the recess 34. Otherwise, outlines of the exhaust collection part 21 and the water jacket 31 in a view from the cylinder axial direction are equalized, the outer face of the peripheral wall of the exhaust collection part 21 most apart from the combustion chambers 12 and the outer face of the outer end wall of the water jacket 31 along the outer face of the exhaust collection part 21 are connected by the connection wall 40 to form a smooth continuous face. Thereby, size of the cylinder head does not substantially increase to increase wall thickness of the exhaust collection part 21.
