SOLUTION: The material 15 for hydrogen generation composed of aluminum and lithium is stored into an inner vessel 3, water is jetted on the material 15 for hydrogen generation from a jetting nozzle 19, and water and the material 15 for hydrogen generation are reacted to generate hydrogen, the generated hydrogen is recovered into a hydrogen recovering tube 20, a larger quantity of hydrogen is generated compared with the cases of liquid hydrogen and a hydrogen storage alloy, the material for hydrogen generation is safely treated at the time of transportation, and a large quantity of hydrogen is obtained without depending on the environment in use.
