Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the assembly of a lock mechanism part of an inner tube in a telescopic steering device. SOLUTION: A holder 10 covering an oblong hole 9 is fixed to an outer circumferential face of an outer tube 1. In the holder, a one side in the direction orthogonal to the axial direction of the outer tube is formed as an opening B. In an interior of the holder, slanted bottom faces 12 and 12 are formed near both longitudinal end parts. A pair of wedge blocks 17 and 17 provided with slanted lower faces 17a slidably contacting the slanted bottom faces and capable of slidably contacting the inner tube 3 inserted in the outer tube by curved faces 17c and 17c, and a cam member 16 rotated by a clamping bolt 15 between the wedge blocks and having slanted vertical faces 16a and 16b capable of slidably contacting the wedge block are inserted inside the holder from the opening B. A clamping bolt 15 is inserted in the cam member, and an operation lever 18 is connected to the clamping bolt.
