JAPANESE SYLLABARY/CHINESE CHARACTER CONVERSION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Japanese syllabary/Chinese character conversion method, capable of displaying the conventional candidates for Chinese character conversion and the candidate of the Chinese character conversion, based on input prediction without mixing them. SOLUTION: In this Japanese syllabary/Chinese character conversion method, the prescribed number of Japanese syllabaries are inputted on a first screen 101, and the transition of the first screen 101 to a second screen 102 is performed, and first and second conversion keys are depressed on the second screen 102 and the Japanese syllabary/Chinese character conversion can be performed in a Japanese syllabary/Chinese character conversion mode. When a predicted candidate is present in an input prediction dictionary at transition to the second screen 102, the transition of the second screen 102 to a third screen 103 is performed after the lapse of a prescribed time; and at least either one of a first or second conversion key is assigned to the transition key to the fourth screen, on which the predicted candidate is displayed on the third screen 103.
