COOLING AIR FEEDER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling air feeder for feeding cooling air to a contact part or the like of a work of a machine tool with a tool which ensures the sufficient cooling temperature and the reliable coiling and causes no troubles in the layout. SOLUTION: This cooling air feeder comprises a liquid air manufacturing apparatus, a liquid air storage device, an evaporator and a cooling air nozzle which are successively disposed from the upstream. Outside air is liquefied by the liquid air manufacturing apparatus, the liquid air is stored in the liquid air storage device, and evaporated by the evaporator to generate cooling air, and the cooling air is blown from the cooling air nozzle to the contact part of the work with the tool to cool the work and the tool. Liquid air can be manufactured and stored at a low cost by utilizing excess power, the factory layout becomes compact, cooling air at super-low temperature which is sufficiently low for the cooling can be easily obtained to appropriately cool the work and the tool.
