CONTROL ADAPTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transmit a control signal to a game machine without purchasing a separately sold exclusive controller. SOLUTION: A television game system is constituted by connecting the game machine 12 to a television device 10. A player can enjoy a game by operating a controller 14 according to an image displayed on a screen of the television device 10. The front face of the game machine 12 is provided with a connector 32 to which a terminal 30 of a cable 28 of the controller 14 is connected. A receiving adapter 40 is mounted to the connector 32 of the game machine 12, and a transmitting adapter 44 is mounted to a toy pistol 42 on the market, for instance. The toy pistol 42 is constituted to transmit a control signal from the transmitting adapter 44 when the player pulls a trigger 42a. The toy pistol 42 on the market can thereby be also used as a controller.
