CORDLESS TELEPHONE AND SPEECH CONTROL METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cordless telephone that shifts a speech to a slave set when the slave set for the master set is lifted up during the speech with the master set, and can avoid the shift of the speech to a separated slave set even when the separated slave set is lifted up. SOLUTION: The cordless phone is provided with a master set decision means 151 which decides a lift state using the slave set for the master set during speech with the master set, a master set transmission means 152 that transmits a speech shift request within a prescribed time after the means 151 makes master set affirmative decision that the slave set is lifted, a master set shift means 153, a slave set decision means 251 that decides its own lift state and decides whether or not the speech shift request is received within a prescribed time after the time of lifted slave set affirmative decision, a slave set transmission means 252 that transmits a response when the time is within the prescribed time, and a slave set shift means 253. The master set shift means 153 shifts to an idle state when receiving the response of the slave set, and the slave set shift means 253 shifts the slave set to a speech state when the slave set response is transmitted.
