Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wavelength dispersion measuring instrument which is composed of a small number of components and will not cause the problem of optical SNR. SOLUTION: A low frequency fm is superposed on a high-frequency f1, and light of frequency fs is modulated and sent out to a transmission line 24 as wavelength-dispersion measurement light. On a reception side, local oscillation light is multiplexed with the wavelength-dispersion measurement light, and heterodyne detection is carried out. Side bands generated by the modulation of a frequency f2 in the heterodyne-detected wavelength-dispersion measurement light are extracted by band-pass filters 28-1 and 28-2, and their phase difference is detected, to calculate the wavelength dispersion value of the transmission line 24. |
