OPTICAL DISK REPRODUCING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk reproducing device capable of reproducing different kinds of optical disks such as CD and DVD, and housing plural optical disks without providing any housing tray exclusively for each kind of disks, and allowing a user to easily discriminate the kinds of the housed optical disks. SOLUTION: When a housing magazine 1 in which an optical disk is housed is mounted on the device main body, a control circuit 17 discriminates the kind of the housed optical disks, and stores the discriminated result in the memory 16 corresponding to the housing position. Then, the housed contents at each housing position (the presence or absence of the optical disks) and the discrimination of the kinds are displayed at a display panel 19 based on the information stored in the memory 16.
