INSTRUMENT AND METHOD FOR MEASURING SHAPE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow data of a surface shape of a measured object to be provided efficiently, and to prevent precision from being worsened and efficiency from being lowered by fluctuation of environmental conditions. SOLUTION: This instrument is provided with the first memory 35 for storing coordinates of a route along a longitudinal direction in a surface of a measured lens 20, the second memory 36 for storing coordinates in plural routes along a short direction crossing with the longitudinal direction, and a control means 37 for driving a probe 30 based on the coordinates stored in the first memory 35 and the second memory 36 to measure the surface shape of the measured lens 20.
