Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrochemical reaction device by which hydrogen can be produced with high efficiency using methane and water vapor as the raw materials. SOLUTION: In this device in which the outside and inside of a solid electrolyte 11 are respectively provided with an anode 12 and a cathode 13, and while heating is performed at 700 to 1,000 deg.C by a heating means not shown in figure, hydrocarbon and water vapor are fed to the side of the anode 12, the hydrocarbon is reacted on the anode side, further, the water vapor is ruturn-flowed and is allowed to contribute to reaction as water vapor (H2O) to the side of the cathode 13, voltage is applied to the space between the anode 12 and the cathode 13 by a DC power source 15, and hydrogen (H2) or formation gas containing hydrogen is generated, the anode is composed by adding either one kind selected from rhodium, ruthenium, nickel, cobalt and iron or their mixture to an oxygen ion electric conductor. |
