WIRELESS APPLICATION PROTOCOL SERVICE SYSTEM AND METHOD THROUGH INTERNET

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method by which not a relay server of a wireless enterprise providing a communication channel for a mobile communication network and the Internet but a substantial contents provider (or WAP server) on the Internet directly provides a WAP service for the wireless Internet. SOLUTION: The method of this invention includes a step (a) where a contents server receives a request message on the basis of a wireless application protocol from a wireless application protocol service terminal connected to a mobile communication network, a step (b) the request message received in the step (a) is processed on the basis of the wireless application protocol, and a step (c) where a reply message on the basis of the wireless application protocol is configured and returned to the wireless application protocol service terminal, and a repeater providing a communication channel between the mobile communication network and the Internet is characterized in that the repeater relays the request message transmitted in the step (a) and the reply message returned in the step (c) at a lower stage of a wireless datagram protocol layer to transmit them to the contents server or the wireless application protocol service terminal.
