Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a torque sensor and its manufacturing method capable of highly precisely setting an air gap and a lapping amount for a sensor ring. SOLUTION: An integrally constituted sensor ring constitutive body 62α is split into two to form the first cylindrical member 62A and the second cylindrical member 62B. The air gap G and the lapping amount between the first and second cylindrical members 62A, 62B are thereby set highly precisely. The air gap and the lapping amount are not required to be adjusted after the first cylindrical member 62A is attached to a main shaft 52, and after the second cylindrical member 62B is attached to a pinion 54, so as to allow inexpensive constitution thereby.
