SPOOL FOR BONDING WIRE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spool and a wire bonder with spool in which temporary fixing of the end-of-winding of wire can be released while avoiding the possibility of touching a rewound wire and recognizing the end-of-winding accurately. SOLUTION: In the spool 1 for bonding wire having flanges 3 on the opposite sides of a drum section 6, the flange 3 has a first cut 10 for guiding the start-of- winding 7 of a bonding wire 2 to the outside part 4 of the flange, and a second cut 11 for guiding the end-of-winding 8 of the bonding wire to the outside part 4 of the flange wherein the first and second cuts 10, 11 have similar shapes. The first and second cuts 10, 11 are made in different flanges 3 and arranged in the substantially same direction in the circumferential direction of the spool 1.
