METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING MAGNETIC HEAD ASSEMBLY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a magnetic head assembly, capable of suppressing the oxidation of an alloy film in a gap in a sealing process. SOLUTION: Under an inert gas atmosphere having a pressure higher than a normal pressure, and under an atmosphere containing substantially no water for oxidizing a magnetic alloy thin film, a gap between the magnetic core and the slider of the assembly is filled with melted sealing glass and, also, under the inert gas atmosphere having the pressure higher than the normal pressure, the sealing glass filled in the gap between the magnetic core and the slider is solidified.
