METHOD AND DEVICE FOR SIGHTSEEING GUIDANCE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to efficiently look around destinations without congestion by providing the user with the optimal course information on desired destinations to look in the case of sightseeing guidance. SOLUTION: This device is composed of a portable information terminal 1 carried by the user, a service center having an information providing device 4 for providing sightseeing guidance information or induction information such as way to main destinations to visit to the portable information terminal 1, an entrance gate 6 and an exit gate 7 in each of destinations to visit. When the user inputs the desired destination to visit to the portable information terminal 1, the information providing device 4 determines a course, with which the user can efficiently go around the desired destinations to visit, and the induction information or sightseeing guidance information is provided to the portable information terminal 1 on the basis of that course. The information providing device 4 acquires the ID of the entrance gate 6 and the ID of the exit gate 7 of a certain destination to visit through the portable information terminal 1 by radio communication. Thus, it is recognized that the user visit that destination and the induction to the next destination to visit is performed.
