INFORMATION STORAGE SYSTEM AND METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the management cost by making information of a document into a data and to easily extract mutually relative image information and charac ter information. SOLUTION: In the information storage system 1, an assembly drawing is fetched through a scanner 31 and is made into data as image information even when the assembly drawing, a component list, etc., are present in a document, and the contents of a list are inputted through a keyboard 32 and are made into data as character information, so that the expenditures for paper, printing, storage space, etc., are not necessary and the management cost can greatly be reduced. Symbols in the image information and the character information are related to each other in a symbol and character information conversion table 22, so the assembly drawing and a component list of components with symbols in the assembly drawing can easily be obtained and displayed.
