IMAGE FORMING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the filming of a transfer belt and pitch irregularity on an image in an image forming device quipped with a transfer belt which moves while forming a nip at a transfer position with an image carrier and a cleaning roller which cleans the transfer belt surface by abutting against the transfer belt. SOLUTION: This image forming device is equipped with a transfer conveyance belt 31 which moves while forming nips with a photoreceptor drum 13, a driving roller 21 and a driven roller 22 across which the transfer conveyance belt is laid in a tensioned condition, and a cleaning roller 24 which abuts against the transfer conveyance belt, and the cleaning roller 24 is arranged downstream from the driving roller 24 and upstream from the transfer position in the moving direction of the transfer conveyance belt and is rotated almost at or a little below the driving speed of the transfer conveyance belt at the part where it abuts against the transfer conveyor belt.
