Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a branch part opening work method for existing conduit capable of easily and precisely dividing the position of a branch opening in view of a problem in the restart of the branch opening in a conduit as its conduit inner surface is lined. SOLUTION: This branch part opening method for existing conduit is a method for restarting the branch opening 1A covered with a lining film R in the existing conduit 1 having the lining film R formed on the inner surface. In this method, a cap member 2 consisting of a material electrically or magnetically distinguishable from the place other than the position of the branch opening 1A is fitted to the branch opening 1A prior to the lining construction of the existing conduit 1, a detecting means 3A detectable of the position of the cap member 2 is mounted on a drilling means 3 introduced into the existing conduit 1, and the position of the cap member 2 is detected by the detecting means 3A, whereby a drilling work is started therefrom to restart the branch opening 1A.
