Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rock a worm supported through a bearing in a housing at a rocking angle above an angle clearance of the bearing and to prevent breakage of the bearing due to inverse input load. SOLUTION: A projecting part 14 allowing rocking of the worm 71 is provided on a portion of the inner peripheral side of the bearing 13 supporting the worm 71 interlocking with rotation of a motor 6 for assisting steering, or a projecting part allowing rocking of the worm 71 is provided on a portion of the outer peripheral side of the bearing 13.
