SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a high-purity tetrachlorophthalic anhydride comprises manufacturing tetrachlorophthalic anhydride by subjecting phthalic anhydride to a nuclear chlorination reaction using chlorine gas in the presence of iodine or iodine chloride in a chlorosulfonic acid solvent. In the reaction, the reaction temperature is controlled at 50-150 deg.C, and the thermal point of the reaction is controlled at a degree of chlorination of 3.90-3.98. |
