SEMICONDUCTOR MEMORY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor memory, in which current consumption is small and which uses a work line boosting system. SOLUTION: This device is provided with an output line B connected to a word line W1 via a switching element at the time of selecting a word line, a first boosting circuit 2 for boosting a potential of the output line B to the prescribed potential by supplying electric charges to the output line B, a second boosting circuit 3 for boosting a potential of the output line B to the prescribed potential by supplying electric charges to the output line B, and a potential detecting circuit for controlling the first boosting circuit 2, so as to detect the potential of the output line B and to keep the potential of the output line B at the prescribed potential.
