IMAGE DATA GENERATION PROCESSING SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image data generation processing system in which shading of image data caused by a two-dimensional sensor can be corrected easily without requiring any large capacity memory. SOLUTION: In an image data generation processing system comprising an image processing means 33 for correcting image data generated from an image reader, a uniform light source is located at a position for minimizing the imaging magnification of a camera at the time of acquiring reference shading data, light from the uniform light source is received by a CCD through a camera lens, and data digitized by an A/D converter is held in a reference shading correction data memory 61. At the time of correcting the shading of a read out image, a shading correction data generating section 62 corrects the reference shading data appropriately according to an imaging magnification at the time of reading and delivers the corrected data to the image processing means. Shading correction of image pickup data can be facilitated at various magnifications by simply generating and storing the reference shading data.
