ROSIN EMULSION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a rosin emulsion having extremely improved stability when allowed to stand, capable of being prepared simply, having a new composition, by using a natural rosin or its derivative as the objective main component of dispersoid without damaging characteristics which the natural rosin or its derivative itself essentially has. SOLUTION: This rosin emulsion comprising dispersoid particles composed of the natural rosin or its derivative as a main component uniformly dispersed in an aqueous solvent can be prepared by adding a small amount of a natural substance such as oils and fats, a fatty acid, a fatty acid ester, a terpene, etc., as a third component having high affinity for a rosin and, in mixing, having a function of lowering the softening point of the rosin or its derivative itself to the natural resin of a main component or its derivative, by using an emulsifying agent such as a surfactant, etc., and carrying out a reverse emulsification treatment.
